Many types including common, riverina, tree and tiger the most prevalent of all which are very susceptible to biological control with cochineal the best and cactoblastis also used in very dense infestations.
Cactoblastis moth & cochineal, a scale insect are the most effective in scattered infestations. Both can be used together in heavier infestations.
There is also indian fig which is a legal plant it does not respond to bio control methods.
